Who Are We?

"Potohari": the Art & Craft Village is a project of the Capital Development Authority, Islamabad (CDA) and is managed by Indus Heritage Trust on a voluntary basis , for the CDA.

The Indus Heritage Trust
is a civil-society led voluntary organization that aims to:

X  revitalize the Pakistani identity through the preservation of its cultural heritage

X  bring this cultural heritage into the present by keeping every activity contemporary, current and relevant

CDA and Indus Heritage Trust

X  will jointly manage the design and planning of ‘Potohari’

CDA will provide:

X  the land and buildings for Potohari: The Art & Craft village in the designated area at the    Shakarparian Complex

X  monetary support for a stipulated period of time.

Indus Heritage Trust will provide :

X guidance while CDA is constructing the site

X  administrative support to CDA

X  marketing support to CDA

X  support in the management of the different visualised areas at ‘Potohari:

 Craft, Art, Performing Arts, Cuisine.
