Job
Description
- Hotel
attendants are expected to thoroughly clean assigned area rooms before
artisans arrive for their stay. Duties include stripping and making beds,
changing
linens, restocking rooms, cleaning all room surfaces including
walls, floors,
counters, tables, tubs, mirrors, windows etc.
Professionals must tidy all areas,
dump trash, and dust rooms as
needed. They may inspect rooms prior to guest
admittance, and are
responsible for the delivery of requested items to rooms upon
request as
advised by the hostel warden.
- Hostel Attendants are also responsible of cleaning of
soiled and dirty linens.
Attendants separate any damaged items and
prepare for repair or destruction.
They sort and weigh items, load items
into washers/dryers, and keep records of
the operation of equipment. They
fold towels, pillow cases, blankets, sheets, and
bed pads either manually
or mechanically, and iron table cloths and sheets.

Keeping’ it
clean:
Whether you work in a hotel, in someone’s home or here at artisan hostel,
the cleaning duties essentially going to be the same. They include:
Changing bed linens, vacuuming or sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping down
glass surfaces like mirrors and windows, scrubbing showers, sinks and
toilets, and in our hostels, ensuring beds linens are clean and made,
bathrooms are sanitized and stocked up to the required standards.
Positive
attitude:
House Attendant should be customer service focused and friendly – you will
be interacting with visiting artisans from all over Pakistan. You must
always have a welcoming behavior and offer any necessary assistance within
your provided mandate. Our guests must feel at home during their short
visit here in Islamabad.
Trustworthy:
Your management trust you enough to allow you into artisans hostels, which
is a big deal, so you should always respect their privacy and property.
Avoid inter-actions on any personal related issues, politics and
religion. Just keep your work environment simple and professional.
